Using a Business Coach

Gain Benefits Your Business Can't Ignore!

Coach

I love being a business coach.

Why?

Because I know it’s really tough when you are at the top of a business managing a team or working in a smaller business on your own.

So with all the wide array of businesses I work with, I always look to make a real difference on an individual level as well as to the wider organisation.

Think back...at some time in your life you will have experienced the benefits of a trusted advisor, friend, teacher, relation or wise person. So you know already the value you can get from employing a business coach!

Whether you have:

  • just started out and feel like you are wandering in the dark
  • or have become established as a business but are still struggling to achieve your goals
  • or even achieved a certain level of success but are now looking to move to the "next level"

...it is tough to deal with any of these challenges on your own.

To add even more stress, you are probably expected to solve your own problems...and everyone else in your business expects you to be able to easily and readily solve theirs for them as well!

So why not look for someone to partner you in this process, providing an opportunity to share views with someone who really knows the ropes.

The power of a coaching relationship is that it can provide experience and clarity of thought when you most need them.

"Whilst I initially felt it would be difficult to discuss business “challenges” (Paul’s word for problems!”)... I soon found that I could talk quite openly about anything that was bothering me".

"I knew that I wouldn’t be judged but encouraged to look at the issues in a different way in order to successfully resolve them."

Sheila Davenport, Managing Director (Infodex)

You will find that it's a productive partnership which can help you to:

ChessExpert

  1. Set well defined Goals
  2. Focus on the priorities
  3. Discuss your ideas and generate new ones
  4. Improve problem solving and decision-making
  5. Balance your time better
  6. Maintain your motivation and confidence
  7. Be more authentic in all your relationships
  8. Create a balanced and fulfilling life

So what are the direct benefits?

A challenge of the role is to help you gain fresh insights into problems and decision making. This is achieved through impartial, objective discussion and feedback, which means: Direction
  • You can focus your efforts and energy better
  • The level of risk in making business decisions is reduced
  • Positive progress is achieved more quickly

Most importantly, as the boss you will challenge others to develop their performance BUT rarely be challenged yourself. You will have to rely on your own self motivation. With an ally, you have somebody who can challenge you, add to your skills, maintain your motivation and help celebrate your successes.

The role demands that it is truly objective with no hidden agenda or political games to play. Learning directly and 1-on-1 from someone with real-life and business experience is the best way for most people to gain knowledge and improve their success rate.

So, you can expect that this individual is someone who is available when you want them and whom you can trust totally to tell it like it is.

It is a rewarding, positive experience, which not only supports your business growth but helps you develop personally too.

"The mentoring process helped me separate and simplify the various aspects of the business".

"Paul and I got on very well together and he gave me a much clearer idea of potential improvements, which allowed me to work on them positively."

Ed White, Managing Director (Thomas White Ltd)

  • Facilitating a team building session or relationship audit between two senior managers or partners

  • Meeting with the CEO or Business Owner to talk through a particular issue

  • Interviewing a potential employee to give a valuable second opinion

  • Implementing a professional staff performance review process

  • Helping to establishing a sound financial planning process which is essential in any business

  • Acting as a sounding board – particularly in a crisis

In all these interactions the sole purpose is to fully understand the client requirements and add value.
